The ARRL has announced a new year-long Worked All States operating event for 2026 celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The America250 Worked All States (WAS) Award runs throughout 2026 and aligns with ARRL’s Year of the Club.
The event will feature W1AW/portable activations in all 50 states, with each state active for a full week twice during the year. The first state activations begin January 7. All contacts must be confirmed via Logbook of The World (LoTW).
Operators can earn:
- America250 WAS
- W1AW/Portable WAS endorsement
- ARRL Affiliated Club WAS endorsement
- WAS Triple Play (CW/Phone/Digital)
Activity is encouraged on nearly all bands and modes (excluding 60m), using direct RF contacts only.
This is a great opportunity for W3ACH members to get on the air, support club activity during the Year of the Club, and chase a unique, once-only WAS award.
